Turner is a great deal of fun nowadays. Ashley and I have to be really aware of his surroundings because he's preatty diabolical & mischevious. He gets into everything but at the same time is really developing a really rad personality.
He's a good boy. Never really cries. He can be cruzin' around and I can pick him up, close his curtains and put him in his crib and before he hits the mattress he's got his thumb in his mouth ready for his nap. It's really quite remarkable.

No Rain.
I don't think Turner has seen it rain in Texas. My yard looks like Beirut. Just imagine this picture in a field of really green grass and Blue Bonnets.
Ahh...isn't that cute?

Maniac
Turner's been crawling for a only a couple of weeks but you'd never guess it. He's a pro. He's also learning how to pull-up and, more importantly, get back down. Which right now consist of just letting go and hoping for the best. Usually he lands on his butt and he's cool with that.

Grandma & Turner
Grandma came over for a while. It's great that Turner is starting to remember people and feel more comfotable around family. He's a ripper.

I want my son back
This thing I have now crawls around all over the place and I can't keep track of him. This thing that I have now keeps pulling up on the couch and drooling on the cushions. This thing that I have now is standing up in his crib after his naps.
After trying to teach him to crawl (if you can "teach" such a thing) I know realize that was a mistake. I now find myself yearning for those long forgotton days (of a couple weeks ago) when he would chill in the living room and play with some toys quietly. Now, after leaving him alone in the living room for 2 minutes, I come back in and see him hanging from the ceiling fan with one hand and holding the cat in the other.
I debating whether or not we should teach him anything else...maybe we can teach him to fold his own laundry - and that's it.

Arg, Matey!
Turner's crawling around like a madman nowadays so you really have to an eye on him at all times. He'll also pull up un the couch from time to time just to show off.
Here's a picture of him doing his best pirate captain or breakdance or something.

Who's this guy?
Here's a picture of The cousins together and Turner doesn't quite know what to make of Logan.

Peeps
It's nice to get out every once in a while. Britton and Jess came into town and it was really a blast hanging out till the wee hours.
Britton and his wife (Amy) are expecting a boy this spring. That was nice of them to get pregnate to give Turner another friend. Who knows, maybe they'll have pictures like this one in 30 years.

"Chair"
If pointing is impolite, then Turner is the Howard Stern of pointing. Here he is in Missouri. There are plenty of good pictures form the trip and I'll be sure to post some goodins. Until then...
My computer recently died. Something super freaked my hardrive and CPR could not be performed intime. Therefor I've lost a lot of pictures and video of the big guy. If you have any video or pictures that I've sent you of Turner please send it back to me. Much obliged.

On our way.
The family is going on a road trip tomorrow to Missouri to see G-Daddy, Gigi, Uncle Lane and all of the other Happy Hollow Posse. Should make for a fun New Years. Anyway, I'm probably not going to post for a few days so I thought I might want to give you your cutie pie fix for the week. And here it is, another picture of the big guy! Hurrah!

Sign Language
We've been signing to Turner for the past couple of months now. On Saturday he took me by complete surprise when he signed milk to me.
"Are you asking me for what I think your asking me for?" I said. Luckily I was warming his bottle. So I went into the kitchen grabbed the bottle and showed him what he was asking for. "Milk?" I held the bottle up as I was signing. He signed back to me again. I was so excited that I put the bottle down and picked him while praising him. "Good boy! You are so smart!" I said happily. Turner replied with a loud whine as he focused on the bottle sitting on the coffee table. "Oh yeah...You want milk"
Before Bed...
Before Turner goes to bed he usually sits and watches one of his many Baby Einstien DVDs. Here he is in his PJ's with his Mother.

All I want for Christmas is my four top teeth.
This is my son. Turner. He might disown me when he's older after he's sees all the silly costums me and Ashley have put him in. But what can I say? I get the giggles easily.
His top teeth are finally coming in. He's the been the drool king as of late because of it. He's also started to eat those little veggie puffs that pretty much melt in your mouth. But it's been good "hand to mouth" practice. He's pimp.

Ashley's Birthday
Ashley's 30th Birthday was on Wenesday and to celebrate we had dinner at the Samba Room with Whiney and Derrin as well as Ashley's sister Lauren. Thanks Jen for Babysitting! We both had the Skirt Steak (which made wonderful steak & eggs the next day!).
For a week before Ashley's Birthday we got a steady stream of packages everyday. She's a popular girl. Thanks to everybody who sent a card, or a present, or simply called with a birthday message! I know it made Ashley's 30th birthday a special one.

Miller's in for Thanksgiving
Ashley's family came in town for Thanksgiving and here's the pictures to prove it. Since our house is small and our son is young (and goes to bed early) we had to brave the 55 degree weather and take the cranberry mojitos and Trivial Pursuit outside. We found that the two make for a noisy combination. In case you were wondering, team "Stealth" beat "The Pumpkinheads". And let's just say that I ain't no Pumpkinhead.

Scary Scary
As a graphic artist I understand that the ultimate goal of most print ads is to make a person look at it. Sounds simple enough but to find just the right image/headline/typeface/direction/etc/etc/etc... can be difficult at times.
I.E. this ad/ads for the Christmas Carol. I've never seen a more scary ad in my life. Not only is that a horrible image (draw the devil horns on either picture. You'll see what I mean.) The fact that they put the same ad side by side (that's wheels off) makes this cute little boy look like those twins in Children of the Corn.
I'm burning this newspaper right now for fear of this kid coming to life in the middle of the night and me waking up with those eyes beaming back at me. UUAAAHHHJJJJYYUU.......just got the willies....

After we get up
After The big guy wakes up, we usually either play in his room for an hour or so or we go out in the living room and throw down a blanket on the floor. Turner is getting really good at rolling around and getting the things he wants. Sometimes he settles on his hands and knees and gets a little frustrated. Especially if he can't reach his "Water, Water Everywhere" book. (pictured in the background).
Mr. Bighead
He looks like he wants to eat the camera! "mmmm give me that flashy thing and I'll put it in my mouth...mmmm...Flashy..." geesh buddy....
Learn Around Playground
Turner got a new toy as a gift from G-Daddy and Gigi. (It is for Christmas but when your trying to entertain a 7 month old, there's no such thing as waiting till Christmas morning... ) A Learnaround Playground! It's got GREAT songs on it like:
"Fuzzy.....Fuzzy,Fuzzy..."

The Machine
Turner's a machine. Eating and pooping. I could post a picture of the latter but...maybe next time. He really loves to eat. Squash (acorn and butternut), applesauce, cereal, peas, green beans and sweet potato. I'm sure the foods he eats doesn't really interest you. THe real reason I wrote that whole thing just so I could write "butternut" ha ha ha...
...butternut....

How's the weather?
When you're a 7 month old, taking walks becomes a big part of your day. The weather has been so nice the last couple days that Turner's really diggin' it. The perfect football weather.
A Cowboy's bye week is a good time to have a birthday party. Happy Birthday Lila!

Happy Halloween
Doesn't Turner look excited! Sorry buddy. Of course, I would feel bad, but you look so cute!
Anyway, here is a Halloween picture, a picture of Turner in his new Jumpy-jumpy-jumpy-thing and a picture of him sitting up (which he has now mastered).
Did you know that you can click the pictures and it will take you to my Flickr account? That has ALL of the pictures on this blog (and some rejects) in one place. and you don't have to read any boring crap like this!

Fall is here
Ahhh, the leaves changing colors, there's a chill in the air and chili in the crockpot. You know what that means? More pictures of course! There's a church down the street from out house that sells pumpkins before holloween and Ashley and I thought it would be a good opportunity to get a few snapshots of the big guy. We put him in his pimp orange vest (a la Back to the Future) and snapped away! Enjoy!

"I'm smiling because I love to eat!"
Hey ya'll. I'm doing better about putting pictures up here. It's the descriptions and the writing that's now killing me. I know I could talk about Turner. How he's eating cereal, green beans, peas, bananas, and apple sauce now (Not in one sitting. That's be crazy.) But I feel like people probably don't even read this stuff. They just look at the pictures and say "awe...ain't he cute?"
Turner loves to eat. He's huge.
My birthday is coming up. Sosend all your iTunes gift certificates to greg@gregring.com. Thanks guys! That's very thoughtful of you!

Turner at 6 Months
Turner had his six month checkup today. He's a little over 17 puonds and twenty some odd inches long (I don't remember excatly). All I know is that he's 50% in weight and 90% in height. He also had four shots which he wasn't happy about, but he made it.
This is a picture of him in his excersaucer in our backyard.

Turner's still cute
I know I'm horrible. A post a month is not excatly what I had in mind when I started this thing but, you see, I'm lazy. And this way every picture I put up of Turner it really looks like he's growing a lot! Which he is. He's "off the charts" tall and in the 60% of weight. Dominating. He's recently started rolling over like a maniac. It's so funny to see him one day not interested in something then the next day doing something like rolling over - and back again - and again.
I'll try to be better about posting stuff, but I've lied before

Turner Tub
Ash and I have finally settled back in Dallas. Ash likes her new position at the hospital even thought the hours can be a little tough. Turner's doing really well also. We went to the doctor about a week ago and he measured off the charts for his height and in the 60% fo his weight. He's huge. It's so funny to look back at pictures of him just a couple of months ago and see how much he's changed. He's also starting to roll over and probably will start speaking full sentences by next week.

At last...a new post and more pictures
Ok, ok, get off my back. Here are some new pictures. My brother's wedding was last weekend and it was a beauty. I wish He and Michele a life of happiness. Ashley and I had a great time and we took a bunch of pictures while we were down in Dallas. We really miss our freinds and my family and are looking forward to getting back in two weeks.
Turner was baptized while we were down there by my brother Alex. That was a special time and one that I will remember forever. One reason why is that I have pictures!
Here is a link to my photo album. The newest ones are labeled "July 2005". I have the other albums on there too just in case you feel like wasting 15 minutes or so.

Demon Days
By the Way, this album is really sweet. I recommend. It's not what I expected. Which is why I think I like it so much. Just get it. Get someone to copy it for you, whatever. I'll burn it for you. Just post a comment here and leave your address and such (if your really brave) and I'll get one right out to you. Promise. That's how much I like it.
Oh yea, Tuner? Still dominating. He's figured out that his dad is an old softy. When I try to put him to sleep he either cries for a half hour or he will coo and smile at me to try to get me to play with him. He's at the stage that he starting to really be interested in his enviroment and wants to interact with it. Even if it means he's giong to be "over-tired" later. Its been a learning experience for sure. He's really been good though. He usually goes to bed around 6pm and will sleep till midnight to about three am. It the afternoon nap we have yet to master.
It was Ashley and I's anniversary on Wednesday. we both went out (after Turner was sound asleep of course!) for dinner. It was really nice to get out and have a date. Ashley's still hot. I dig her.

Payce and Amy spotted in Columbia
Payce and Amy were nice enough to ride into town this weekend and stay a spell in CoMo. We all went out Friday night (with the exception of Ashley) and hit all the hot clubs in Columbia. That's an oxymoron if I've ever heard one. Nevertheless, it was fun to get out hang with some of my bestest freinds in the whole entire world. They got to see where I work, live, and most importantly see Turner who spent most of the weekend sleeping. Anyway, if you're like me you'd probably just skip all this crap narration and go staight for the crap photos.

Wedding Mania!
There was a wedding this weekend for Jordan Taylor. She is a neighbor of Ashley and her parents here on Happy Hollow road. The reception was at the Taylor house and they set up a HUGE tent and had over 200 people for dinner, drinks and a little drunken dancing. It was really quite nice. Ashley and I took Turner and he was really awesome. Pretty much slept the whole time, with the exception of when he wanted to eat.
Speaking of eating, Turner is taking a bottle really well now! It turned out that he really (and I mean really) didn't like the bottle/nipple we were using. We switched the bottle and he took right to it. It such a relief for me and Ashley. Ashley can get out of the house for a longer period of time now.
I've posted some pictures of the fun over the weekend here. Check them out and let me know what you think.

Loading...50%...
I've been getting people asking about the new gregring.com site. My new portfolio website is on hold because the superpimp Jeremy Fields is in Europe pancing around eating french toast, french fries, and taking pictures of hairy armpits or whatever. He's coming back this week so we will regain progress soon. Thank you for your interest.
Turner is doing well. His 2 months doctors appt. is on Monday. I think it's the one where he gets his shots and junk. I'm glad Ash is taking him and not me. I'll post some more pictures of him soon (since he's the real star of gregringiscool). And again, thank you for your interest.

"Come here often?"
Thanks Kristen for the "Chick Magnet" shirt. Although this outfit kind of bums me out because Turner already looks like a todler in this picture. We've started trying to give him a bottle for the first time these past couple of days. The first time was full of gagging and outright refusal. The second was just full of gagging! We're getting closer! Actually you can tell he wants that milk inside that bottle, it's just a matter of finding out that technique. We'll keep you posted! Hurrah!

BFF!
Ashley's really good freinds came into town last weekend. Jenni (sp?) and her husband Jeff as well as Jane and her boyfriend Mike. We ate Chinese and had some wine and laughs. Ash was really happy to get the opportunity to hang out, as was I. We have the pictures to prove it.
I've been kind of slackin on posting stuff lately, but now that the Mavericks are out of the playoff and my nights are a little more free you can look forward to seeing more stuff up here.
Turner's started to really smile a lot. Ashley says he smiles at me far more than anyone else. I think he smiles at his mother just as much, but what do I know? I'm not with him all day. He also has started to find his thumbs which is really cute. He hasn't quite learned how to bend his elbow just so to get his hands near his mouth. It takes a good 30-50 trys before he has succuss. But when he does he's in hog heaven. Which is good because now he can kind of console himself if he starts to get a little fussy. Since he will not take a pacifier (he usually starts to gag and totally freaks) the fact that he's has his thumbs to put in his mouth is a lifesaver for Ashley and I. He's also started to get really chubby...ok fat. He's really cute and looking at my baby picture at six weeks - I was a chubb monster as well.

Three Ring Circus (ROCK ME!)
Sorry I haven't been posting stuff lately. It's really been crazy. I've been trying to get my stuff together to came back to Dallas and get a decent job. The website is coming along great. It's a lot of work, but not near as much as Jeremy Fields is putting into it. I can't say enough about him. He's really helped me out a lot. Anyway, my parents came last weekend and got to see Turner for the first time. I've included a link to some pictures here. They were really only here for a day, but they saw the greatness in my son. My sister Jennifer came with them. It was swell. Ash and I are still planning on coming back in July, so I hope everyone is ready - Lord knows I am.

Turner Gallery
Alright. Here it is. The long awaited, much anticipated and somewhat underestimated Gallery of Turner. I put pictures of Turner (of course) but there are a few of me as a baby and some of Ashley to come.
Turner is getting so big so quickly. It's crazy. I think he's a little over 11lbs. now! And he even seems to be getting longer. He was in the 80% of his hieght last time we took him to the doctor and now he seems to be even longer. You know what that means...center forward or power forward. Maybe both!
Go Mavs.
