Elephants at the Zoo

Elephants at the Zoo, originally uploaded by gregring.

Ashley had the weekend off so we all went to the Dallas Zoo. Turner saw lots of cool animals like lions, birds, monkeys and elephants. He liked the BIG elephants with their big tusks. He also likes songs about elehants, elephants in books, and even elephants on TV. Sitting on a bronze elephant outside the zoo on the otherhand... not so much. This was the one good picture we got of him riding this baby elephant.

Asleep after the Zoo

Although Turner had fun at the Zoo, it wore him out. We couldn't sing "Hot Potato" enough to keep him awake. You can also see the bruise/abrasion to the right of his eye frm falling against the coffee table.

Reading a book on trucks in Florida

DSCN3804, originally uploaded by gregring.

Alright. I promised a bunch of pictures from our trip to Florida this summer and really only posted a few. These are several weeks old but cute nonetheless. Here I am reading a book we got Turner on construction trucks. On the right hand side of the books it has buttons with several rad sound effects. As you can see, Turner is pretty interested in the noisy part of the book.

The backyard

TurnerandMajor, originally uploaded by gregring.

Since the weather is cooling off (if you can call 94 degrees cool), we've been spending more time in the backyard. Picking up sticks, running around the shed and playing with the dogs next door helps pass the time. the big gray one's name is Major. Both dogs are sweet.

Football season is starting.

DSCN3984, originally uploaded by gregring.

Probably one of my favorite times in my life was when Turner and I (the men of the family) would watch football of Sunday afternoon. It would be pretty cool outside, chili would be in the crockpot and Turner would be flopping around as a baby baby. I can't wait to have football (much less the Cowboys) to watch with Turner on Sunday's.
