Turner's blog is becoming more like a quarterly. I think I'm averaging about a post per season. I think that'll change pretty soon. So here's the Summer post. I hope everyone is doing well!
Times they are a changin'. When I was a kid I watched cartoons. Classics. Bugs Bunny was my favorite. Slapstick awesomeness. I guess the closest thing to that type of nonsense slapstick nowadays would be SpongeBob? SpongeBob is ok but it's no Bugs or Froghorn Leghorn. I recently read an article that said the average 2 year-old watches an average of 2 hours of t.v. a day. But todler television is much different than it used to be. Now kids are leaning about colors, letters, words, numbers and just about everything else.
One of those shows is Word World. It's on PBS. Crisp, professional computer animation in which a fun loving and lovable dog would literally be made out of the letters D-O-G. They sing silly songs and teach things like vowels and rhyming. It's great. Anyway, this is Turner watching the D-O-G dance around as he plays a D-R-U-M . He digs it (as you can tell).
