Butterflies!!

Lauren and Zach got Turner a caterpillar kit. The caterpillars stay in a container till they make cocoons. A week or so later - viola! Butterflies! Mom and Turner released the butterflies into the wild where they quickly went looking for those elusive wild orange slices that they were accustom to.

Turner Hawk

Turner's been asking for a skateboard for a couple months now. Ash and I talked about getting him one for Christmas but figured that he'd get more use out of it during the warmer summer/fall months.

We decided that we'd get him one after his first day of "school" (which is a pre-k class on wednesday & friday.) SOOOO, I left work a tad early yesterday so we could give Turner his rad new skateboard. We quickly had to go to the highschool to try out some "sweet tricks" as Turner calls them...

Break out the baby-gates and put those little corner bumper pads everywhere because Gus is on the verge of crawling. I remember being so proud of Turner getting on his hands and knees. I thought it was going to be so awesome to have a little thing cruising all over the place. But that's just the thing, now this little thing cruises all over the place...I think Gurdy has an extra leash...

I'll post some pictures of the family trip to Missouri when Ashley gets back (with the camera). Ashley stayed up in there with Turner, Gus, Gigi, G-Dad, Lauren, Gurdy, June, and Coby Dean Miller. SO I'm home alone and have to find ways to entertain myself. Last night I went to eat with Payce, Colin and his 4-year-old daughter, Harper. She's a blast. Smart, Goofy, very funny and cute as a button. Here's the proof:

Gus has been teething for a few weeks so he can sometimes be a crab apple. After he's nice and rested though he can be hilarious - and so can I apparently. This video is right after his afternoon nap when anything I did, Gus laughed. BTW, thanks to the new iPhone I've been taking a lot more video. It's so great to get moments like this by simply reaching in my pocket, pulling out my phone and hitting record.

The wife is working today but Grandma made a suprise visit this afternoon with Logan to make ice cream! What can be better on a 100 degree day? How about ice cream with sprinkles and strawberries!? Sweet!

Come on ride the train - and ride it.

Yesterday I took a day off from my days off. I picked Turner up from school and we took the DART rail to the Westend for a monster cookie and frozen lemonade. We both had a swell time. We changed seats every time the train made a stop and Turn made sure to sing one of his favorite songs the whole time (Bullet train from Choo-Choo Soul).

Cool is the rule.

Sea World and other Awesomness

We are in San Antonio (actually at Randolph Air Force Base) chilling with the Miller clan. We went to Sea World and it was awesome. Turner had a blast and was a really good considering it was 178 degrees outside. He was so good he got a penguin. He named him Dr. Beaks. Again, so awesome.

Happy Anniversary!

Today is Ashley and I's anniversary. We have been married for 7 glorious (most of the time) years and are celebrating with a bottle of wine and a night in. Just in case you were wondering, we are accepting gifts.

VIDEO ONE: Gus rolls over.

Gus on his belly after he rolls over. Now, if Goose isn't on his belly, he's not sleeping. Turner was the same way. Ashley said last night, "It looks like we've got another thumb-sucker-belly-sleeper". Say that 5 times fast.

There was a monster that was eating all who dared to pass. None of the Cars characters made it. Not even Lightning McQueen or Chick Hicks who was the last to be eaten...

Gus has been getting bigger and bigger and Turner has been getting longer and lankier. They're starting to look like Abbot and Costello.

Just the boys on the weekend.

Dad, Turner and Goose have been having tons 'o fun hanging out on the weekends. Me and Ash work hard – Ashley at the hospital on the weekends, and Dad at the office during the week. And although taking care of the two boys can be tough. It's never "work".

The art of sucking your thumb

Turner is/was a thumb sucker and it looks like Gus is too. Which is fine by me and Ashley. Tuner slept SO much better after he learned how to soothe himself to sleep. Gus chose to start sucking his thumb the first weekend Mom went back to work which made taking care of the two boys a breeze for Dad. This isn't so hard. I don't know what Ash is talking about ;)
